Prosciutto Basil Pizza

Pitas make ideal pizza crusts - not too thick or too thin.
Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Baking Time: 7 minutes
Servings: 16 appetizers
2 POM Whole Wheat pitas
2 tbsp olive oil
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
2 oz thinly sliced prosciutto or ham, cut in strips
freshly ground black pepper to taste
2 tbsp coarsely chopped fresh basil leaves

1. Brush top of POM pitas with olive oil. Place on baking sheet.
2. Top with cheese, prosciutto and pepper.
3. Bake in preheated 450°F (230°C) oven for 5 to 7 minutes or until cheese is melted and crust is golden. Remove from oven; sprinkle basil on top. Let stand 5 minutes before cutting. Cut each pizza into 8 triangles for appetizers.
TIPS
1. Add some halved cherry or grape tomatoes to topping before baking.
2. Replace pitas with 3 POM 7" (17.5 cm) Tortillas.
